This policy explains what information lembog.com collects when you use the site and its tools, why, and the choices you have. Lembog has no user accounts, and you never need to sign up or give us personal details to use a tool.
What happens to what you enter into a tool
Most Lembog tools run entirely in your web browser. Text you type, numbers you calculate, and files you open (such as images, PDFs and embroidery files) are processed on your own device and are not sent to Lembog.
A few tools only work by contacting an outside service. When you use them, the item you enter is sent to that service:
| Tool | What is sent | Service |
|---|---|---|
| IP Lookup | The IP address you look up, or your own IP address | ipapi.co |
| DNS Lookup | The domain name you enter | Google Public DNS (dns.google) |
| WHOIS Lookup | The domain name you enter | rdap.org and the registry for that domain |
| YouTube Tag and Description tools | The video link you enter | noembed.com and YouTube |
| YouTube Thumbnail Downloader | The video ID | YouTube's image servers |
| WiFi Speed Test | Test data to measure your connection (the test runs in an embedded OpenSpeedTest page) | OpenSpeedTest |
Lembog doesn't store what you enter into any tool on its servers. A few tools, such as Online Notepad and UTM Builder, save your work in your own browser's storage so it's still there next time; you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which tools are popular and which pages have errors. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location, and your browser and device type. We don't use it to identify you personally.
You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can read how Google uses this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Advertising
Lembog is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ad Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they won't be based on your browsing.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Lembog itself doesn't set cookies for its tools. The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, as described above. Your browser may also store your light or dark theme choice so it's remembered next time.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The tools keep working without them.
When you contact us
If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards them to our inbox. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and message. We use these details only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
Sharing your information
We don't sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the services named in this policy, for the purposes described, or when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it's used. Because Lembog has no accounts, the only personal information we hold directly is what you send us when you contact us. To make a request, email [email protected]. For data collected by Google, use the links above or your Google account settings.
Children
Lembog is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how your information is used, we'll say so on the site.
